Our compensation program offers key support while you build your business.

As an Investment Representative, you have the potential to earn large net commissions once you make enough quality contacts and sales presentations to build a client base. However, building your business will take time. That’s why the Edward Jones compensation program gives you more support during the first four months of training and the first three years of selling. Now, in addition to a base salary in the early stages of your career with us, you will have the opportunity to increase your pay based on your performance.

Training Pay
While you study for your industry licenses and complete your training, you will be paid for the hours you’ve worked. Plus, our training pay is calculated based on your geographic location and your level of experience.

New Account Bonuses
With our compensation program, new account bonuses have been structured to help motivate new Investment Representatives to get their businesses off to a fast and solid start in their first 36 months of selling. You will receive a $500 bonus after you open your fifth qualifying account. When you open accounts six through ten, you’ll now receive $100 for each. Finally, for accounts 11 and above, you will receive $200 for each.

Milestone Bonuses
New in 2006, milestone bonuses are another exciting way to be rewarded for your performance. These bonuses are designed to recognize and reward the key milestones early in our Investment Representatives’ careers. Once you graduate from the initial phase of training and become registered, you will receive $1,000. If you perform at 100% standard or better, you will earn the following milestone bonuses at key stages of your careers:

  • 4 months = $4,000
  • 9 months = $5,000
  • 15 months = $7,000
  • 22 months = $7,000
  • 29 months = $7,000
  • 36 months = $7,000
